- I'm Catherine (Cathy) Ipcizade. I've published fourteen books ('Twas the Day Before Zoo Day; African Animals: Lions; African Animals: Zebras; African Animals: Giraffes) and have six more forthcoming in 2010-2011. I enjoy writing fiction and non-fiction for all grade levels and am currently dabbling in writing in verse. I've written more than 300 articles in print and online and have edited for Thirteen Minutes Magazine, Keen Owl Children's Books, and on a freelance basis.
I'm a member of SCBWI and volunteered as a mentor for The Little Owl Mentoring Program, which paired published writers with aspiring teen writers. I teach grown-ups how to write or kids for the UCLA Writer's Extension Program.
